His seminal work on angle-recession glaucoma, conducted meticulously on monkeys with six-month follow-ups, earned accolades from the ophthalmology committee and was published as a thesis, solidifying his reputation as a trailblazer in the field.
Following the completion of his residency, Dr. Chhabra commenced his tenure at RP Center at AIIMS, where he honed his skills for a year before embarking on a transformative journey to Iran. Upon returning to India, Dr. Chhabra seized the opportunity to develop Modi Eye Hospital in Modi Nagar (UP), a testament to his commitment to expanding access to quality eye care in underserved communities. His tireless efforts extended beyond the confines of the hospital, as he conducted a special survey for the National Society for Prevention of Blindness, impacting the lives of thousands of school children, college students, and industrial workers in Delhi and Faridabad.
